Of all the sites to see in Rome, this is one of my favorite and most fascinating. The Roman Forum was a government central area where many critical processes took place. It's also amazing to see how much the city has built up around the ruins, but while preserving as much as possible the original structures. It creates a fascinating appearance of modern architecture, mixed with ancient ruins and preservation motive. You can see most of the Forum for free from the street, but it's worth purchasing the tickets to go in and see up close and personally. Add this site to your "must see" list.
One of my favourite spots in Rome. This is a MUST visit. You need to schedule a tour time on their website but the visit is free. I would recommend getting the audio guide inside which will walk you through the meaning and the history of this imposing structure. This is a 30-min guide that will help you appreciate the Pantheon. Especially fascinating to hear about how it was built! Also recommend to visit this site during the day and also at night. It’s a completely different experience. Have a Spritz across the Pantheon for a stunning view at sunset. Yes, the Spritz is overpriced but you are paying for the view!
This place was amazing! You truly need at least 4 hours to see it all. The history here is phenomenal. Bring a water bottle to use the free flowing fountains. You truly feel like you have stepped back in town. When you enter go left and you will walk up a hill to the most amazing overlook over the Roman Forum. It’s definitely a place I want to return too.
I like to visit this place whenever I'm walking around. It's a great place where to relax or just sit with friends around. There is a bunch of local gelato sellers and with the ice cream in the hand is a day always even better. From the top of the stairs is good view of the close surrounding so it's always worth climbing to the top of it🚁 Thank you
